Opis:

Experience the Extended Directors Cut of the bodybuilding documentary "Generation Iron" with new, previously unreleased scenes. The edition appears in an elegant gold foil slipcase and a high embossing. The documentation "Generation Iron" shows you that the body cult and work on your own body, i.e. the building of muscles, has lost nothing of its fascination. Smiled by many as a kind of beauty contest, bodybuilding - especially on a professional level - is a tough competitive sport and has also become a real mass phenomenon since the glorious days of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1970s. This film takes a look at today's bodybuilding sport and shows you seven top athletes and their lives and training. All of you have in common is the wish to win in the most important competition in bodybuilding worldwide: Mr. OlympicDirected by Vlad Yudin ("Last Day of Summer" , "Big Pun: The Legacy" ) and the producers of the successful special documentation "Pumping Iron" was created in 2013 "Generation Iron", the long-awaited successor to enthusiasm, rivalry, victory, defeat and triumph. You could say finally, because "Pumping Iron" is probably the most successful film about bodybuilding ever. It is commonly considered the classic about muscle sports and has made bodybuilding sustainably socially viable. For Arnold Schwarzenegger, for example, the 1977 film was one of the first major milestones in his career and showed an insight into his life as a bodybuilder and not just as a film actor. It was Schwarzenegger's first major film success and paved the way for his unprecedented career. So no wonder that Arnie, now even as a "governor" in California has been politically active, also comes to say here and reports about his active time and hard training. However, the focus is on today's scene of top bodybuilding, giving insights and access to the lives of the current stars of the scene such as the three-time Mr. Olympic champion Phil Heath, the two-time Arnold Classic winner Kai Greene, Brand Warren, the currently best German professional Dennis Wolf, Victor Martinez, Hidetada Yamagishi, as well as ambitious newcomers such as Ben Pakulski and the European sensation Roelly Winklaar. In addition, "Generation Iron" also shows old masters and legends such as Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler, Mike Katz or Lou Ferigno, who similarly to Arnie also laid down a film career, including as the title hero of the TV series "The Incredible Hulk", which report about their sport and their great passion. And as a real highlight, the famous actor Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler", "Angel Heart") leads us through this documentation as a speaker in the original version. So, embark on an extraordinary journey to the crown of bodybuilding sports - the Mr. Olympic competition 2012 and its intensive preparation and forget everything you thought about bodybuilding before...this is clearly even harder.
